The agency represents fiction and non fiction authors, rights-holders and publishers from all around the world.
It was founded in february 2006 by Pierre Astier, founder and director of Editions Le Serpent à Plumes from 1988 to 2004, and Laure Pécher, associate agent and editor at Les Classiques du Monde/Editions Zoé.

Pierre Astier — Founder and manager of the agency, represents mainly French-speaking authors and French-speaking publishers. After having worked for ten years in the art world (Karl Flinker Gallery, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, Palazzo Grassi, Venice), he created in 1988 the quaterly short stories magazine Le Serpent à Plumes. In 1993, he created with Claude Tarrène the publishing house, Le Serpent à Plumes, focusing on contemporary fiction, starting with two collections: Fiction française (Gisèle Pineau, Eric Faye, Amin Zaoui, Dany Laferrière, Abdourahman A. Waberi, Xavier Bazot, etc.) and Fiction étrangère (Timothy Findley, Margaret Atwood, Nuruddin Farah, John Cheever, Joao Ubaldo Ribeiro, etc.). Laure Pécher — Co-founder of the Agency, she represents authors and publishers. She is also a publisher. After having studied byzantine philology, she worked for five years at Le Serpent à Plumes as Rights manager. In 2002, she started publishing classics « Les Classiques du monde » at Editions Zoé (Geneva).

Agathe Camus – Agathe is in charge of French-speaking authors of children’s books in all their wide and creative variety (novels, picture books, non-fiction, comics…). She also works as a freelance editor for French publishers and creates new editorial projects in her spare time.
