avier-Marie Bonnot is a novelist and documentary film-maker, with an academic background in history, sociology and French literature.
He also comes from Marseille which provides one of the settings for the stories.
The detective series with Le Baron as recurring charater is now translated into many languages, and will be soon adapted into a TV series
