Shih-Li Kow (b. 1968) is a Malaysian writer currently living in busy Kuala Lumpur with her extended family and cats. In 2009 her short story collection Ripples and Other Stories was shortlisted for the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award. Her short stories have been translated into French, Swedish and Italian. is her first novel; translated into Italian and French, it was awarded the Prix du Premier Roman étranger in 2018 in France. She’s currently working on her next novel.
