Jean Bricmont is a Belgian theoretical physicist, philosopher of science and a professor at the Université catholique de Louvain.
He is mostly known for Fashionable Nonsense (Intellectual Impostures) written with Alan Sokal, in which he criticises relativism in the philosophy of science.
His essay Impérialisme humanitaire is now translated into many languages.
